I seem to have a love for cast on’s with a nationality. The German twisted cast on being my favourite super stretchy cast on for socks! If you know me at all you will know about my very serious love affair with sock knitting. It’s a serious thing; I constantly knit socks and talk about knitting socks. I was talking to a friend at work about sock knitting and she mentioned the Turkish cast on.
I had never heard of this cast on before but it sounded really cool. It is an application for toe up socks. This cast on is meant to be invisible so you cannot tell where the socks were cast on.

I haven’t really come to love toe up socks with the passion I display for cuff down, but I think this cast on will help. I find most toe up cast on’s to be tight and fiddly to get going. This one is not as bad as some of the other ones I’ve tried. I really like how easy it is to get on there and you don’t have to guesstimate the amount of yarn needed.
