I will admit that I haven’t really had time to knit too much. I’ve worked on my Grandma’s sweater, Shauna’s mittens and a super secret gift for someone that occasionally reads the blog. That is all you are going to learn about said super secret gift! I’ll post photos and a big explanation on the who, what, where, why, when and how.
My grandma’s sweater is coming along, the last time I was working on it, I considered the sleeves. I really don’t think the pattern looks good on the sleeves, I am considering changing it. I thought about leaving the sleeves plain to balance out the business of the body and for simple expedience. I am not sure it will look really good though.
Any input would be appreciated! I really want to get this bad boy out of my queue, there are sooo many cables! I honestly don’t know how someone could get that many into one sweater! I am going to wait a while before I do anything else with cables… a long while.
I’ve worked on Shauna’s mittens a little bit, but not a huge amount of progress made from the last post. I’ve been running around quite a lot and that is not really conducive to getting these mittens completed. They really shouldn’t take all too long to knock out because I almost completed a whole one in one sitting. It was a pretty long sitting, but still!
I mentioned a snuggle sack in my Monday post, for my new nephew. I am planning on making one of these very soon, I found some perfect yarn that I had not done anything with. I will have to see if I can find more of the same kind. This is the snuggle sack I made for Ethan when he was born. Apparently it was one of the most useful things I could have given. They are really simple to make and I have simply improvised the pattern every time. Since I am about to make three of them, I should write the pattern down. Who knows I could put this up on Ravelry as a free pattern!
I would obviously have to wait for my logo to be finished before I get that going on. That’s right, I am getting a logo! One of Paul’s groomsmen has a girlfriend who makes logos professionally. This was really exciting for me because I had been trying to get a logo. This way, I know the person who is making it and she can help to guide me through my first experience. I have a pretty long timeline so I am not completely sure when it will be done, but I will post it as soon as I have it!
